For shops, cafés, pubs and high streets

Bring people back into town this Christmas

SantaTrail turns your high street into a Christmas trail that families walk on their phones, with a story chapter, a letter to collect and a festive offer waiting at every shop.

A story for your place

Every town, village and city has a story

SantaTrail writes yours into a Christmas tale and leaves a chapter at every stop. Families follow the lights from door to door to find out what happens next.

Children collect a letter at each stop and spell out the magic word by the end. A walk down the high street becomes an adventure, and an ordinary December evening becomes one the family remembers.

A letter at every stop. Two more to find.

Bringing people back into town

High streets are quieter than they used to be. A trail gives families a reason to come back: wrap up warm, follow the lights, stop for a hot chocolate and pop into the shops along the way.

A bit of fun, a lot of Christmas spirit, and money spent with the businesses that make a place feel like home.

At your door

What happens when a family reaches your shop

  1. They find you on the map

Your shop is a stop on the trail, in walking order, with your photo, opening times and whether you are open now.

  2. They scan the code by your till

We make you an A5 sign with your own code. Each scan gives the family the next letter of the magic word, so they come inside to get it.

  3. They see your offer

Your festive offer appears as a ticket on their phone, ready to show at the till.

  4. They can ask to hear from you

One unticked box lets them get your news and offers. It is their choice, and their letter counts either way.

The trail's organiser decides whether to use shop codes. Without them, your stop still shows your offers, opening times and photo.

For your business

What you get from the trail

More people out after dark

Families plan an evening around the trail and walk the whole route, right past your door.

A reason to step inside

With shop codes on, the next letter is collected at your till, so families come in rather than look through the window.

Up to three festive offers

A free babyccino, 10% off gift vouchers, a mince pie with every coffee. Change them whenever you like.

Customers who want to hear from you

Families who tick to hear from you are yours to keep in touch with, by name and confirmed email.

Open now, on every phone

Your opening times sit on your stop, so walkers know whether to pop in now or come back tomorrow.

Good for the whole high street

When a trail brings people into town, the café, the butcher and the bookshop all feel it. The more shops that join, the longer families stay.

Your own dashboard

See what the trail does for your business

Sign in to your business login any time in the season and see how families are responding, day by day.

  • Scans of your code, and how many came this week
  • Offers shown at the till
  • Calls and website taps from your stop
  • Customers who opted in, ready to download as a spreadsheet
  • Your busiest times, so you know when to be ready

Counts only, never who. The only names you see are customers who ticked to hear from you and confirmed their email.

Questions businesses ask

How much does it cost?
£10 + VAT (£12.00 in total), paid once. It covers your listing for the whole Christmas season of that trail, with no subscription.
Does the £10 include VAT?
No. VAT at 20% is added at checkout, and the receipt shows both.
What are shop codes?
A QR code on an A5 sign by your till. Families scan it to collect the next letter of the magic word and see your offer. The trail's organiser turns them on for the whole trail.
Who sees my customers' details?
Only you, in your business login. Families choose to hear from you by ticking a box, and only those who confirm their email are on your list. Anyone who changes their mind drops off it.
What if my listing is declined?
You are refunded in full, automatically, back to the card you paid with.
Can I change my offers or opening times?
Yes, any time, from your business login.
Can the organiser add my business for me?
Yes. They fill in your details and we email you a link to check them and pay. You go on the trail as soon as you have paid.
Do families pay to walk the trail?
No. Walking a trail is always free, on any phone, with nothing to install.
